Pretzel Crust Cheesecake Brownies

The pretzel crust in these Pretzel Crust Cheesecake Brownies gives an added dimension to the rich chocolate and creamy cheesecake. Every bite is delightful!

I have one daughter who loves pretzels, another daughter who loves cheesecake, and a husband who loves brownies.  So I decided to get a little creative!  Luckily these pretzel crust cheesecake brownies tasted amazing and everyone was happy!!!


  • 2 c. pretzels crushed
  • 5 Tbls. sugar
  • 1 c. butter melted
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips


  • 3/4 c. butter melted
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbls. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. cocoa powder

Cheesecake layer:

  • 1 1/2 pkg. 12 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix together crushed pretzels, sugar and melted butter in a bowl until combined.
  3. Press firmly into a 9x13 pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  4. Bake 6 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  6. Reduce heat to 350 degrees.
  7. Brownie: Mix sugar and butter until thoroughly combined. Add water, eggs and vanilla.
  8. Sift together flour and cocoa powder. Slowly add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  9. Cheesecake: Mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and eggs.
  10. Carefully spread half of brownie mixture evenly over pretzel crust.
